Sports permeates all societies and cultures. Go anywhere in the world and you will find people coming together in support of a team. Whether it’s a local group of kids or a national league, the language of camaraderie through challenge is understood by all. Working to bring an end to LGBTQIA-phobias in sports would ripple through all social strata, and end pain and discrimination felt by millions around the world.
