“Sport is where you learn how to express your innate creativity and ability to problem solve. Sport is where you learn how to work with and thrive amongst people you might otherwise not connect with. Sport is where you actualize how to maximize your strengths and improve on your work. It is because of all these reasons that sport should be an open and accepting environment, inclusive of all, and appreciative of the LGBTQIA2S+ community. As athletes it’s our job to support ALL of our teammates and as allies it’s our job to ensure that all of our teammates are being supported.”
