Athlete Ally and Out in Athletics Launch Resources for Trans/GNC Inclusion
Today, Athlete Ally and Out in Athletics launched a model policy on transgender and non-binary athlete inclusion, and a FAQ on developing LGBTQA+/transgender and gender-expansive policies in athletics.
The model policy, adapted from Lewis & Clark College Athletics and developed by Athlete Ally and Out in Athletics, is based on NCAA guidelines, and is designed as a resource for athletic departments to ensure the full inclusion of transgender and nonbinary athletes. The FAQ was generated based on based on a series of frequently asked questions by athletic administrators, and is designed to support the development of LGBTQA+ policies at institutions or within athletic departments.
