Vegas Golden Knights’ Tweets Are Sexist and Have No Place in Sport
Last night, before the Vegas Golden Knights’ game against the Boston Bruins, the team’s Twitter account tweeted the Boston forward lines with female names rather than the actual lineup. Athlete Ally Executive Director Hudson Taylor said the following:
“This is just another example of how sport systematically attempts to degrade women and teach boys and men that women are inferior,” said Hudson Taylor, founder and executive director of Athlete Ally. “Now more than ever, we need men to stand up and and speak out against the sexism that’s pervasive in sport and society.”
